Locally-renowned designer Kim McMahon is the co-founder of D4S Inc. Environmentally conscious, strong affinity with nature, respect for different cultures and early artistic influences have been some of Kim's guiding forces in the design world.

 

Some of her first memories were watching her Dad at his drafting table, designing unique homes and then traveling to the construction sites and seeing the house come to life. " I credit my Dad for my unique ability to look at an open space and instantly visual a finished concept. It's great starting point with our clients."  

 

At an early age working alongside famous Canadian artist, Ed Drahanchuck, Kim was greatly influenced by his modern Danish style in his architecturally designed home. Kim enthused "I loved how the flora and fauna of the Pacific coast was an extension of his spectacular home on Quadra Island! It was like living in a glass house on a cliff!! Nature, his extensive art collection and minimalistic home design will live with me forever!"

 

Kim's love for architecture and meeting new people from different

cultures has taken her on many world adventures. "My travels give me an edge and insight to great design whether it be the small couture shops on the isle of Capri, or the amazing boutique hotels and restaurants in NYC. "
